i-TRACE360 were instructed by a national solicitor, who were trying to locate a resident who had witnessed the collision between a car and a pedestrian near his home. Unfortunately, our client failed in their attempts to contact the witness and only had partial details for the individual who had now moved away.
The solicitor requested i-TRACE360 to identify and confirm the current address, landline number, mobile number and email account of the witness.
Utilising i-TRACE360’s in-house databases revealed that the witness was not recorded at this location at any time. Analysis of databases during the period when the incident occurred, identified a potential co-habitant and partner to the witness.
Using our unique use of social media, i-TRACE360 identified a Facebook account for this individual which confirmed that this person was married to the witness and had relocated to another part of England.
Using this intelligence, we focused our investigations on this area of the UK whereby we could identify the current address and landline number.
Due to i-TRACE360’s investigations and the information reported, our client was able to establish contact with this witness via the newly identified address and take a statement. This confirmed how the index incident occurred, saving our client thousands of pounds.
i-TRACE360’s unique use of social media was also able to confirm that the subject had recently moved to their parents’ house, who were identified and traced.
Due to i-TRACE360’s investigations and the information reported, our client was able to re-establish contact with their customer via their identified new address, mobile number and email account. This enabled them to negotiate a payment plan to settle the debt.
